Overview

This presentation will explore new and emerging hydrogen energy technology pathways and discuss some key technologies that have the potential to open up entirely new industry value chains across the energy sector.

Dr David Harris, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia

David leads CSIRO's Low Emissions Technologies Program providing technology pathways for low emissions renewable and coal-based technologies to increase efficiencies and reduce costs of greenhouse gas reduction options while ensuring secure and sustainable energy supply.

David has over 30 years research experience in fundamental and applied aspects of combustion, gasification and energy systems. He has published on a wide range technologies and established CSIRO’s high-pressure gasification research facilities at the Queensland Centre for Advanced Technologies which provides unique capabilities for advanced gasification, syngas processing, gas separation and hydrogen energy systems research and development.

His team has well-established collaborative links with international research organisations and technology development companies in Japan, China, Korea, Europe, USA, India and South Africa.

This webinar is being held jointly with the Queensland Members Group of IChemE Australian Region, and will be presented in the 80-seat Dow Centre Boardroom of the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

Format

A one-hour online session: 40 minutes' presentation + 20 minutes' Q&A.
Duration (for CPD recording purposes): up to one hour.
