Overview

Safety should be an important core element within the chemical engineering programme. However, it has not been taught to the level that is acceptable by the practitioners in most universities. As such, this workshop brings forward some industrial practitioners and academic leads to share the best practises in chemical engineering safety.

It is hoped that the participants will be able to make use of some useful tricks in safety so to train better chemical engineers for the process industry. The inclusion of other relevant elements of safety in industry such as occupational safety and industrial hygiene will be also be discussed.
