Overview
Air is the ubiquitous gas, with which all process engineers must be familiar. Also, Clean air is an immediate need to support life and of some interest to all who breathe.
This is a repeat of the 2015 presentation, as an introduction to other air related presentations, which follow in the Environment series. A walk through the properties of air, with some illustrations of practical air handling calculations.

Clive Hadfield
Clive Hadfield CEng CEnv MRSPH MEI MCMI AMIChemE, began his technical career at ICI Wilton, where he developed simultanious dust burden sampling for both clean and dirty ends of power station flue gas systems. He was also involved in various pollution tracking projects. Next, as an Air Pollution Technical Officer for Teesside CBC, he was deeply involved in the Teesside Mist investigations. Management roles in Heat and steam utility services and process plant design followed. Latterly, Clive has acted as a Carbon Trust Consultant. Clive has a patent for a mass transfer device, which is currently being considered for a CO2 absorption Application.

A one-hour online session: 40 minutes' presentation + 20 minutes' Q&A.
