The presentation will also cover other emerging contaminants, including pharmaceuticals and personal care products, 1,4-dioxane, fire retardants - polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), amongst others and, of course, we can't have a presentation on emerging contaminants and not mention something about PFAS.

Speaker

Dr Ken Scally, Technical and Quality Director, Suez

Ken is an internationally recognised Environmental Forensic Chemist with over 28 years' experience in organic chemistry analysis, forensic data interpretation, analytical chemistry and quality management.

His specific expertise is in the understanding of organic chemistry, degradation pathways, aging and source correlation indicators for hydrocarbon releases. In addition, he has a keen interest in 'emerging' chemicals, their fate and transport, remediation strategies and chemical forensics analytical applications.
