Overview

The Fluid Separations Special Interest Group are hosting a one-day symposium which will give participants a chance to discover the diverse and exciting research work currently underway. There will also be opportunities for networking and discussions between the delegates throughout the day.

Contributions are sought from young academic or industrial researchers and PhD students in the final stages of their research. Speakers must be currently employed / enrolled at a company or university and their research must be in the area of fluid separations. This includes, but is not limited to, aspects of distillation, absorption, extraction, membrane separation, adsorption, filtration, chromatography, and similar. The contributions will be in the form of 20-30 min PowerPoint presentations.

A panel of judges, from both industry and academia, will evaluate the presentations and also give some general feedback at the end of the symposium. The best contributions will receive prizes, from a total prize allocation of £1000.00, to be awarded during a social gathering at the end of the day.

To submit a proposal, please send a one-page abstract to Basu Saha, Head of Chemical Engineering at School of Engineering at Lancaster University by Monday 17 April 2023.
