Overview

Decarbonisation of as much of our energy systems as possible is necessary to curb accumulation of CO2 in our atmosphere. Mining and minerals processing present some unique challenges which won't be easily solved. Mining machinery and transport of materials consume enormous quantities of diesel fuel, metals processing requires extremely high temperatures and cement production produces large amounts of CO2. How can green hydrogen be part of decarbonising these industries?

Speaker

Clare Sheppard, Senior Associate Worley Consulting

Clare has worked as a process engineer since graduating in chemical engineering. Her career now spans more than 20 years in engineering consulting, starting in natural gas and hydrocarbon processing projects from concept to commissioning and later moving into biomass to energy and waste to energy as well as hydrogen production.

Her current role is as a senior associate with Worley Consulting undertaking concept and feasibility phase design as well as technical due diligence for clients.
