Overview

The Core Resources facility in Albion, Queensland is a leading metallurgical testing and process engineering site supporting the global mining and resources industry. The site specialises in laboratory-scale and pilot-scale testwork, process flowsheet development, and technology innovation across a wide range of commodities, including critical, base, and precious metals.

The Mining and Minerals Special Interest Group provides a platform for professionals across the mining, mineral processing, and metals sectors to exchange knowledge, explore best practices, and champion innovation. A key part of our mission is to create meaningful engagement opportunities for students and early career engineers, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

Site visits such as this are invaluable, offering first-hand insight into how leading organisations like Core Resources apply technology, process design, and operational excellence in practice.

A complimentary shuttle bus will be provided, departing from Griffith Uni Bar Nathan (N71) at 09:25 AEST.

Following the site tour, a return trip will bring attendees back to Griffith Uni Bar, where a table has been booked for lunch.
