Oil, Gas and Energy Transition

Amanda Wong

  • Position Early Careers Lead

Amanda joined KBR Consulting as a Graduate Process Engineer after graduating with a First Class Honours in MEng Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2024. Her final year design project focusing on the detailed design of a large-scale green ammonia plant was awarded the 2025 IChemE Macnab-Lacey Prize for sustainability of design. She has a strong interest in process optimisation and control, as well as flow assurance. Prior to joining KBR, she completed an internship at BP as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer.

Amanda is an avid volunteer for community outreach events. She has previously coordinated the G3 Energy Summit, London’s largest student-led energy conference co-organised by the energy societies at various universities. Currently, she has also taken up the role of Professional Development Lead for the early careers network at KBR.

As the Early Careers Lead on the OG&ET SIG Committee, Amanda is keen to advocate for early careers with an interest in the energy industry and to support those navigating through the energy transition.
