Santanu Talukdar
Santanu is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and holds professional registrations both as Chartered Engineer and European Ingenieur. His career spans over three decades. He participated in major technology transfer projects at commercial scale at TRL8 to TRL10 and successfully led the growth of technical services business in modelling, analysis, controls and optimization. He has research experience in ethylene gas crackers, downstream polyolefin processes, hydrocracking processes, motor spirit upgrading in fluidised catalytic crackers, and low sulphur and low diesel fuel blending. He also has experience of providing leadership in commercial engineering in projects.
As a consultant he drove the Quality by Design and Process Analytical Technology initiatives across pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, involving batch to continuous processes, bio-membrane reactors and a monoclonal antibody scale-up from cell-line to manufacturing. He participated in EU projects at TRL5 to TRL6 through his own consulting company in Frankfurt in licensing, academic-industry collaboration and fundraising activities.
He volunteers for IChemE as an assessor for the Accredited Company Training Scheme, as a mentor, a reviewer and a start-up mentor. He is involved in Sustainable Development Goals project development with innovations and participates in the London and South East Coast Member Group.
