Selasi is a Senior Research Engineer at CPI (Centre for Process Innovation), UK.  He attended the University of Leeds for eight years where he graduated with an MEng (Hons) and gained a PhD, both in Chemical Engineering.  He spent a further year at Leeds as a postdoctoral researcher, focusing on powder flowability.  Selasi then went on to work at Johnson Matthey in 2018 where he worked on the research and development, scale-up and implementation of new manufacturing processes for creating step-changes in production.

He joined CPI in 2021 where he works on developing and de-risking processes through various TRL levels for a variety of industries including batteries, pharmaceuticals and food and feed.  He specialises in powder technology, particularly powder milling, powder flowability and powder characterisation techniques.  Selasi has extensive experience of working with powder-liquid processes such as slurry mixing, and in the modelling and simulation of powders and liquids using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Discrete Element Method (DEM).
