Overview
This presentation will track the development of energy and carbon consulting in Australia over the last 35 years. From initial work in energy efficiency and government programs, Energetics has evolved to advise Australia’s largest companies on engaging with the burgeoning renewable energy industry, emissions reduction strategies and climate risk disclosures. The problems are always open ended, and well suited to chemical engineering skills. How policy has waxed and waned over time in Australia will be described and what the current commercial response looks like with specific reference to both emissions reduction and resilience in companies.
The presentation will interest all chemical engineers engaged in developing action plans for companies to address emissions reductions and climate change risks. It will be relevant to engineers in operating companies, contractors and consultants.
