New webinar: Modelling Battery Hazards for Safer Operations
2nd April 2026
The IChemE Safety Centre has released a new webinar exploring the hazards associated with battery technologies used in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
In this session, Sonia Ruiz Pérez, Product Manager at Gexcon and IChemE Safety Centre industry partner, provides a clear and practical overview of the main battery types, the risks they present and the approaches available for consequence and risk modelling. Her presentation offers valuable insights for professionals involved in energy storage, process safety and risk assessment.
The full recording is now available to watch on the IChemE Safety Centre process safety webinars page.
