Fiona Macleod
Fiona is Professor of Process Safety at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Sheffield. She previously worked in the international chemical and power industries with over 40 years experience in design and construction, engineering and maintenance, commissioning and operations, demolition and land remediation, technology transfer and sales. After completing a degree and Masters in Chemical Engineering at Cambridge University, her experience with process safety was gained at the sharp end with practical experience of managing high hazard manufacturing sites.
Fiona has worked in the international chemical industry for over 35 years in manufacturing, design and construction, engineering and maintenance, demolition, technology transfer and sales. After completing a degree and Masters in Chemical Engineering at Cambridge University, her experience with process safety was gained at the sharp end with practical experience of managing high hazard chemical sites. Fiona is currently managing director of Lynemouth Power Ltd, the first UK power station to fully convert from coal to biomass.
