Franklin Medal

The Franklin Medal is for outstanding service in the fields of occupational health, safety, loss prevention and care for the environment. Ned Franklin was a past president and a major personality in the development of the nuclear power industry.

It is awarded to an individual in recognition of outstanding service in the fields of occupational health, safety, loss prevention and care for the environment.

Nominations are sought from anyone interested in the subject area, including IChemE’s Safety and Loss Prevention Special Interest Group. The Special Interest Group Committee recommend a winner to the Medals and Prizes Committee.

How to nominate

Nominations open on 1 September and close on 31 October each year unless specified otherwise.

If you are a member of the Safety & Loss Prevention Special Interest Group you will be asked to submit nominations.
