The role of the committee is to promote IChemE and support members within the region.
Martin Hyde has been a Chemical Engineer for 18 years, having graduated from UMIST in 2002. He has work across a range of industries in design and, latterly, operational roles. He has a keen interest in engineering fundamentals and developing the next generation of engineers – both activities in imitation of those who came before and taught him everything he knows! Outside of engineering Martin has recently begun flying and has just become the owner of an aeroplane.
Lulu graduated with an MEng from Manchester University in 2015, and works as a Process Engineer for a multi-national engineering consultancy and thus far has worked on two multi-million pound nuclear design projects that form a major part of Sellafield’s Nuclear Decommissioning strategy.
Email Campaign Manager/Webmaster
Kavita graduated with a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the Univeristy of Manchester in 2012. She works for GHD, an engineering design consultancy and has experience in the water, wastewater, chemical and food sectors. Kavita is the Webmaster and Email Campaign Manager for the Manchester group.
Felipe graduated with a MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester in 2010, further obtaining an MSc in Nuclear science and Technology (NTEC) from the Dalton Institute in 2011.
Technical and Social Coordinator
Lydia graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013 with a Masters in Chemical Engineering with Chemistry.
Moemen graduated with an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester in 2015. He works for Atmos International, an engineering software company, and has worked in various roles in Energy and the Environment. Moemen is the South Manchester group's Industry Liaison officer.
Hosam is a lecturer at the University of Manchester, department of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science.
Titi holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering (Process Systems Engineering specialisation) from Imperial College London. She currently works as a safety engineer, providing safety assurance and reliability expertise for various engineering systems and major engineering projects. She is also a member of the IChemE National Young Members Committee.
Rodney has an MA in Engineering Science from St. Anne’s College, Oxford and an MSc in Chemical Engineering with Design from the University of Manchester.
