About us

We aim to support chemical engineers in South Wales across their whole career from university and early career - through mentoring schemes, which can be a useful tool in acquiring the skills to achieve Chartered status - and on through later career stages by arranging events and site visits.  We aim to assist all engineers in the region to improve their skill portfolio by offering at least one continuing professional development event per year.

Due to the location of pockets of industry in the region, one of our objectives is to encourage geographic spread by including West Wales in the group's activities.

Get involved

We offer excellent networking opportunities through our social events as we have a diverse range of industries and sectors attending. The events themselves have heavy focus on continuing professional development, whether that includes progression through your career with Get Chartered events; help with achieving mentor status and being able to assist other engineers; or enhancing your own skill set with CPD activities.

We have the ability to offer mentoring with several active fellows and members being available to focus on helping those in their early career to achieve Chartered status.
