Alex Brierley is a process engineer / project manager at Pall Corporation working in the PASS Biotechnology business unit, where he specifies and delivers equipment for a variety of customers within the cell and gene therapy sectors, and provides process knowledge such that the customer has the correct solutions for their process. Alex is the chair of the Pall Harbourgate Early Careers Team and STEM Team, encouraging people early into their career into STEM, chemical engineering and Pall.

Alex studied Chemical Engineering with Industrial Study MEng, completing a year placement in Product Development R&D at AstraZeneca, and since has worked for a year at Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Sterile Specialist. Alex joined the BESIG Committee to share and build on knowledge in the biotechnology sector, and be an ambassador for the discipline. Alex seeks to become a chartered chemical engineer for his own professional growth, and being a part of the BESIG IChemE group will help him towards that goal and beyond.
