Dr Katie Chong is a lecturer in chemical engineering with significant industrial experience within the paper industry and as a bioenergy consultant.

Since returning to Academia, Katie’s research has focussed on the production of fuel blends using fast pyrolysis oil, fast pyrolysis process optimisation and biorefinery process synthesis and evaluation.

Katie works as a member of the Bioenergy Research Group within EBRI at Aston University. Katie has published a number of publications in these fields.
