Overview

Rheality technology will respond to market needs by scaling up a cost-effective, real-time, in-situ rheology measurement device, capable of continuously monitoring material flow in pipes. Acoustic emissions detected by an external passive piezoelectric sensor are predictive of rheological properties through machine learning algorithms. Co-inventors Daniel Hefft and Federico Alberini of the University of Birmingham will take you through their recent research and development of this technology giving you a preview of how it works, its industrial applications, benefits and how it could revolutionise inline flow measurements. Daniel Hefft

CTO and inventor of Rheality technology, Daniel has first-hand experience of process monitoring in the food manufacturing industry and was the Entrepreneurial Lead of the ICURe (Innovation Commercialisation) programme.

Dr. Federico Alberini

R&D Adviser and co-inventor of Rheality technology, Federico has worked on multiple collaborations with major manufacturers, using his expertise in process-structure-function relationships of formulated liquid products with complex rheology to deliver tailored measurement tools.
