Join the Safety and Loss Prevention Special Interest Group at their Annual General Meeting for 2020.

The meeting will include:

• a brief overview of the past two years and plans for the future
• nomination and voting on committee membership and principal officers (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) for the coming year.

The meeting will be virtual and will be conducted using GoToWebinar for which registration in advance is necessary.

On registration you will be sent a unique login link that you will need to join the meeting, as well as telephone numbers for dialing in.

S&LP SIG is the second largest SIG, with nearly 2500 members worldwide, but has not been the most active SIG in recent years. The activities of the SIG are driven by a committee of volunteer members. If you are keen to be more active to help the SIG meet your expectations, please consider putting your name forward to join the committee, as an officer or a member, or to join our contacts list as:

• a possible speaker
• participant in a SIG project
• local coordination team leader/supporter (delivering help to your local university or SIG members through face-to-face activity when practicable).

Committee meetings are currently held at two month intervals, usually remotely (joining by IT only). Local coordination teams are being encouraged to form and to develop their own organisation schedules.

If you want to be nominated as a new or continuing officer or committee member, then please complete the nomination form here, providing a short statement (not more than 100 words) noting your affiliation, professional interests, and what you hope to contribute to the committee. Electronic nominations will close at 17:00 BST on Monday 18 May.

If you are unavailable on 20 May but want to be more involved in the development of the SIGs activities, please complete the form but indicate that you cannot join the meeting.
