Overview

Please note that this event is postponed.

The Institute of Water invite you to their Environment Conference 2020: Climate Change and Water. There will be an opening scene-setting session with keynote speakers which will look at what climate change might mean for water and the environment in the UK, and internationally, and what needs to be done at a macro level. There will then be a series of presentations and a panel discussion exploring the relationship between companies and customers and the environment, and how we reconcile potentially competing interests. Customers are critical to measures for adaptation and mitigation, and to ensuring that the environment doesn’t lose out as we reduce our carbon footprint and ensure secure water supplies. Do they know that, and how do we get them on board?

The afternoon opens with a view from a water company and the Environment Agency about working with nature-based solutions to improve resilience for water supplies, reduce flood risk and support healthy ecosystems.
