Before joining IChemE, Paul was part of the Strategic Partnerships team at The University of Manchester, developing and managing funded research collaborations with global companies.

Before moving into business engagement roles in the UK, he spent over 20 years lecturing in engineering design, CAD, project management, and OH&S, as well as working with industry sponsors in Australia, the UAE, and the UK.

His engineering career started in the BHP Whyalla Smelter Safety Engineering team, followed by design, project management and production engineering management roles in SA.
