Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Conference

Hydrogen Innovation and Technology Conference

14–15 October 2026, Manchester, UK

Call for content open

Hydrogen is moving from ambition to action and 2026 will be a defining year as global strategies mature and investment continues across production, infrastructure, and end-use applications. Join leaders, innovators, policy makers and experts from across the energy landscape as we explore how hydrogen is reshaping transport, industry, infrastructure, and the wider net zero transition.

This year’s event will bring together the people driving real deployment, breakthrough research, and the next wave of commercial opportunities. Whether you’re working on technology, policy, investment, R&D or implementation, this is your chance to connect with the ideas and partners shaping the future of hydrogen landscape.

This conference series is part of the alliance between IChemE and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), a partnership committed to the adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier for industry and transportation, supporting the global transition toward net zero greenhouse gas emissions.

Themes

Our conference themes:

  • Hydrogen production and scale-up: electrolysis and performance, durability, cost competitiveness, grid constraints
  • Hydrogen applications: power storage-distribution, fuel cell, mobility: heavy duty trucks, emission reductions (cement, steel, refining)
  • Hydrogen distribution and storage: hydrogen carriers (ammonia, LOHC), materials integrity, transport infrastructure and logistics
  • Hydrogen policy, markets and investment: policy, economic, market, regulation standards (national and global)
  • Cross-cutting themes: safety, hazard identification, safety‑by‑design, environmental permitting, supply chains and skills, emerging technologies.

The call for content is open. Read more about the themes here. If your work advances understanding of hydrogen deployment, we want to hear from you. We're looking for contributions that provide practical insight, credible analysis, and lessons from real projects.
