Wadoud Hazineh, Principle Process Engineer, Assystem

Wadoud is UK Deputy Head of Process Engineering at Assystem with degrees from the University of Manchester and University of Strathclyde (both UK). With a career built over more than a decade, Wadoud has experience in sectors such specialty chemicals, tomography, pharmaceutical, nuclear and carbon capture. Over this period, Wadoud has been a key member of the IChemE North West Member Group committee, serving as Chair, Secretary and Webmaster. He is currently Congress Representative for the region.

In addition to membership of the judging panel at the IChemE Global Awards, key achievements include leading the IMechE/IChemE Engineering Excellence Awards Dinner committee with significant funds raised to charity.

Emily Clifford, Member Experience Manager, IChemE

Emily is the Member Experience Manager at IChemE, supporting members across the globe. Passionate about fostering a vibrant and thriving profession, Emily leads initiatives to enhance member onboarding, engagement, and advocacy. By leveraging insights, data, and cross-functional collaboration, she works to continuously refine and improve the membership experience. 

Aaron Pennie, Regional Engagement Manager, IChemE

Aaron is a Regional Engagement Manager at IChemE, supporting chemical engineers across Scotland, Ireland, and Europe through stakeholder engagement, network development, and professional events.

With a background in account management, business operations, and photography, he brings diverse expertise in community building and strategic outreach. Passionate about professional development, he works closely with industry and academia to enhance IChemE’s impact and engagement.
