Santiago Esconjauregui
Santiago Esconjauregui is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering and the Environment at Kingston University London, UK. He was awarded an Andrew Fellowship in 2015, completing his research in 2019.
He lectures on materials engineering and solid mechanics for levels 4 to 7, from first-year undergraduates to master level, focusing his research on nanomaterials including nanotubes and nanoparticles. His main interest resides on understanding catalysis and catalytic mechanisms at the nanoscale to control nanomaterial growth and properties, and ultimately bringing all their technological potential to a wide range of technologies.
The research undertaken during Santiago’s Andrew Fellowship looked at growing carbon nanotube forests with controlled chirality.
