IChemE Medals open for nominations
IChemE’s Medals and Prizes celebrate excellence across the profession, and many are specifically designed to recognise outstanding contributions from chemical engineers working in industry. These awards highlight innovation, leadership, and service across key areas that matter to you and your teams.
As an Employer Partner, you are uniquely placed to identify individuals who are making a real impact, whether through technical achievements, mentoring, safety leadership, or delivering major projects. By nominating a colleague or team, you not only recognise their contributions but also demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to developing and celebrating professional excellence in chemical engineering.
Nominations are open until 31 October 2025. Here are some of the medals most relevant to industry:
Clean Energy Medal
Recognises individuals or teams applying chemical engineering principles to tackle climate change, reduce emissions, or minimise use of non-renewable feedstocks.
Donald Medal
Awarded for outstanding service and innovation in biochemical engineering, especially where it contributes to sustainable development.
Franklin Medal
Recognises exceptional service in occupational health, safety, loss prevention, and environmental care, a key focus area for many of our Employer Partners.
Davidson Medal
Celebrates individuals who provide outstanding mentorship to early-career chemical engineers. The quality, consistency, and long-term impact of mentoring are key criteria.
Jack Loftus Medal
Recently reinstated, this medal honours excellence in managing major projects and contracts in the process industries, as a client, contractor, or consultant.
Davis Medal
One of IChemE’s most prestigious awards, recognising an eminent individual who has provided exceptional service to the profession. Past recipients include senior leaders from ICI, Unilever, Dow, and Scottish Power.
Nominations close 31 October 2025.
Whether it’s innovation, mentorship, sustainability, or leadership, help IChemE shine a light on the individuals who are making a difference in your organisation and the profession.
