Join us for the Cumbria Member Group annual meeting, featuring a guest speaker, a review of the group's activities in 2026 and the plans for next year.

Tea/coffee and a light buffet will be provided, arrival is from 6pm for a 6:30pm meeting start. Please use the members' entrance to the Bus Station event space, next to Shipwrights pub by the traffic lights.

Chris Bone, Sellafield

Chris is the head of operations for the highly-active liquor evaporation and storage (HALES) plant, one of the highest-hazard facilities on the Sellafield site. As a chartered chemical engineer, his career has taken him from frontline operations support roles to the office of Nuclear Indepentant Oversight (NIO). He has previously volunteered as a committee member for the IChemE Cumbria member group and as the senior co-ordinator for Sellafield's chemical engineering graduate scheme, helping many local chemical engineers achieve chartered status.
