Moemen works for Atmos International, an engineering software company, and has worked in various roles in energy and the environment. He is a process modelling engineer with over 10 years of experience across energy, oil and gas, and environmental sectors.

He specialises in advanced pipeline simulation tools for real-time monitoring and leak detection. His recent work includes offshore commissioning and infrastructure assessments in the Middle East.

He holds an MEng in chemical engineering from the University of Manchester and has also studied engineering science at Oxford. He is working toward Chartered status and enjoys contributing to Wikipedia, learning languages, and reading The Chemical Engineer.

Moemen is the South Manchester group's industry liaison officer.
