Emma is a graduate engineer in her second year of the Nestlé engineering graduate scheme. She completed her first year of the graduate scheme working in confectionery R&D in York as a design engineer and is now working in Industrial Services at Nestlé Waters, Buxton. She is an active member of Women in Engineering and enjoys participating in outreach to local schools, where the pupils are usually excited to learn that they could be a chocolate engineer.

Emma completed an MEng Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2023. During her degree, she completed a research project in developing a blood test for prostate cancer, and a design project in large-scale production of propylene. In 2021, she also completed a summer placement in the nuclear industry at Sellafield Ltd, working on ion exchange and participating in HAZOP studies.
