Overview
This talk will claim that, over the last 20 years, decarbonisation policies have severely economically damaged the UK. We have largely deindustrialised, and the rest of the economy is contracting. It will assert that our approach has been driven by irrationality and fearmongering rather than careful consideration of costs and benefits. It will also consider the extreme difficulty of reversing course.
Speaker
Andrew Montford, Director, Net Zero Watch
Andrew is the director of Net Zero Watch, which has been the chief voice speaking out for rational energy and climate policies for the last 10 years.
