Mark Shields, Principal Safety and Risk Consultant, Assystem Safety
Since graduating in 2007 Mark has worked across oil and gas process design, offshore and onshore, in pharmaceuticals, and the civil nuclear industry, and has specialised in process safety and nuclear safety case since 2020. Recently, he has been leading a major new capital project in the North East of England as lead process safety engineer. He will be presenting on the nuclear industry and the usefulness of chemical engineers, process engineers, and process safety in this grouping area.
