The Annual General Meeting of the North West Members Group will be held at the University of Manchester, followed by our guest speaker and the newly elected congress members.
The North West Members Group committee is actively looking for new committee member volunteers. Volunteers for all committee positions must be current members of IChemE. If you would like to express interest in volunteering for the North West Members Group please email nwmgecm@ichememember.org.
Speaker
Dr. Graham Atkinson, Health and Safety Executive
Dr. Atkinson has a background in safety research and fire engineering, having obtained a doctorate in physics from Cambridge University. He has been with HSE Solutions for 25 years and regularly carries out investigations at the scene of fatal or unusual fires and explosions. Graham was HSEs lead investigator on fire and explosion aspects of the Buncefield incident and won the 2010 Hutchinson Medal from IChemE for his forensic work on the associated vapour cloud explosion.
Catering
The AGM will be followed by a buffet dinner with the opportunity for networking.
