Overview

Join us for a celebration of engineering excellence in the North West. The evening starts with a drinks reception followed by a four course dinner including wine or soft drinks. Between courses we will hold the awards ceremony and we will hear from our guest speaker. Music and entertainment will be provided by ‘Sweet Rhythm’ Big Band with a late bar open until 01:00 and preferential Hilton hotel room rates.

The event is in aid of educational projects in the North West and the raffle will be raising money for the Christie Charitable Fund.

Speaker

Our speaker this year from The Christie Charitable Trust will be describing the work of The Christie and the technological and engineering advances that make possible the world-leading care and treatment of patients and their families.

Awards

During the dinner a variety of Engineering Excellence Awards will be presented by each of the hosting institutions, with high-profile figures from the chemical engineering industry attending the dinner and presenting the awards. This year's IChemE awards are:

• Northwest Young Process Engineer of the Year 2022/23
• Northwest Chemical Engineering Design Project Year 2022

The winners of each award will be decided by a subcommittee appointed by the North West Members Group, and those shortlisted will be advised in advance of the Annual Awards Dinner.
