Overview

This engaging panel discussion delves into the often-overlooked but essential role that plant operators play in shaping successful chemical and process engineering outcomes. Moderated for an audience of engineers, students, and operations personnel, the session brings together two seasoned operations professionals to share their perspectives on how operator insight drives real-time process improvements and long-term system design.

Drawing from their direct involvement in design, commissioning, and post-project optimisation phases, the speakers will share stories where early operator input significantly impacted safety, operability, and efficiency. The panellists will also discuss how operators use plant data (flow rates, temperatures, pressures, etc) to identify inefficiencies, improve equipment performance, and make informed operational decisions.

Whether you're an engineer seeking more effective collaboration with frontline staff or an operator interested in growing your influence on design and optimisation, this webinar offers practical insights, actionable advice, and a strong case for elevating the role of the operator in modern process engineering.
