Overview

In this presentation, we will explore the dynamic landscape of liquid process development at P&G and share the exciting challenges and opportunities of leveraging process technology in achieving product excellence, enhancing supply chain resilience, and advancing corporate sustainability goals. We’ll delve into emulsification as a prime example of the complex transformations within multiphase fluids, and how process development is evolving to drive progress in our industry.

Speaker

Dr Ke-ming Quan, Technical Director, The Procter and Gamble Company

Ke-ming is a R&D scientist with 31 years of experience at Procter & Gamble and a PhD in Physics. He began his career in their London technical centre for the first six years before relocating to Cincinnati, where he has been working at the Corporate Technical Centre. Over the past two decades, he has specialised in liquid process development for P&G's formulated products, focusing on multiphase flow transformations such as emulsification and gas/liquid and liquid/solid interactions.

Currently, he is dedicated to developing a vision and pathway to enhance our process development by transitioning from empirical approaches to a more measured and model-based methodology.
