Overview
This one-day symposium aims to showcase new developments and promote interactions within the fluid separations community. We welcome contributions from PhD students, final-year Master’s students and early-career academic and industrial researchers working in areas relevant to fluid separations. This includes, but is not limited to, aspects of distillation, absorption, extraction, membrane separations, adsorption, filtration, chromatography, integration of separation processes into sustainable processes, such as CO2 capture, ammonia, hydrogen or methane production, advanced storage solutions or water purification.
The contributions will be in the form of 20-25 min PowerPoint presentations. A panel of judges, from both industry and academia, will evaluate the presentations and provide general feedback at the end of the symposium. The best contributions will receive prizes, from a total prize allocation of £600 to be awarded during a social gathering at the end of the day. IChemE will cover reasonable UK travel expenses for presenters who are IChemE members (IChemE membership is free for students).
The event will give the participants a chance to discover the diverse and exciting research work currently underway. There will also be opportunities for networking and discussions between the delegates throughout the day.
