Overview

National Chemical Engineering Exposure Camp (NCEEC) is a nationwide camp to introduce and deliver information to pre-university students on Chemical Engineering. NCEEC aims to assist students who are uncertain about their future pathways. This event is open to all pre-university students.

NCEEC 2024 is hosted by IChemE-UM Student Chapter, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. The palm oil session is supported by POPSIG in conjunction with Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC).

Objectives

  1. To introduce chemical engineering programme to the pre-university students.
  2. To give exposure to the students about chemical engineering professions.
  3. To facilitate the exposure to the student chapter and the Faculty of Engineering at UM.

Speaker

Ng Han Teck, Assistant Vice President, Downstream Manufacturing, Genting Plantations Berhad

Ng Han Teck graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with first class honours. He is a member of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and Professional Engineer (chemical) registered under Board of Engineers Malaysia. After graduation from UTM in year 2000, he has been working in various roles related to palm oil industries from plant and equipment design, plant commissioning, green field project for palm oil processing complex and plant production. He has been working in different location in Malaysia in Perak, Johor, Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and also oversea including China and Indonesia.
