Overview

The webinar will review the use of head mounted near-to-eye displays and their use in wet, dusty, loud, hazardous industrial environments. These new technologies help more effective collaboration between workers in the field and others in control rooms, remote operating centres, suppliers or consultants. This improved collaboration reduces cost and enables faster response to operating issues.

This is aimed at operating companies and those providing onsite inspections in ATEX areas. Benefits of the technology can be to allow a single worker on site to communicate over Microsoft teams to other workers or specialists who are based in control rooms or located remotely and allow collaborative working.

Andrew Tither, Exloc Instruments

Andy has previously worked for Pepperl + Fuchs for 20 years internally as a technical sales roll and later as Senior Sales Engineer. He also worked at MTL Instruments as a Business Development Manager. He is currently managing director of Exloc.

Thomas Barnes, Immersive Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

Thomas works for a IT Distribution company that specialises in new and immersive technology. His speciality is listening to a organisation’s challenge and advising on the best solution. Then he will work with the technical resources within the organisation to bring a successful Proof of Concept all the way through to a fully deployed and efficient Realwear solution.

Before working for MPH Group, Thomas worked for a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Partner. His role there was implementing and training a selection of Microsoft services including, Office 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for business, Intune and Azure Active Directory. Thomas is currently working on: Managing training and deployment of immersive technology for the Channel.
