Helen is an AMIChemE and started her career as a chemical engineer in the food industry. In 2001, she moved into loss prevention working for a large US based, commercial property insurance company. Helen has partnered with many chemical and pharmaceutical clients to identify potential exposures to their business and develop cost effective loss prevention solutions.

Her particular areas of expertise include: examination of hazard management programs, including process safety, to identify gaps or human elements which could put her client’s business at risk; and the design and maintenance of fire protection systems.

She is keen to help inspire the next generation of engineers and is a member of the Women’s Engineering Society (WES).
