David is the Drinking Water Practice Leader at Ramboll, focussing on advanced water treatment consultancy and development of their UK water business. A Chartered Scientist and process engineer, he holds an MSc by Research in Applied Science from Cranfield University and has over 25 years of experience in water utility, technology supplier, and consultancy roles.

Over the past 15 years, his work has centred on improving water quality and the research, optimisation, and full-scale implementation of advanced treatment processes. During a 20-year career at South West Water, he played a key role in the research, development and delivery of the UK’s first municipal-scale ceramic membrane plant at Mayflower WTW (Plymouth, 90 MLD). He later held senior technical and leadership roles at Nanostone Water, leading the introduction and establishment of their ceramic membrane product in the UK market.

David enjoys using his technical experience and real-world insight to help deliver practical, sustainable water treatment solutions from concept through to operation.
