Sam has worked in the water industry for over 30 years, beginning her career in aquaculture and ecotoxicology, focusing on the environmental impacts of chemical use.

She subsequently held roles in research and development, laboratory management, and regulatory insight, including a significant tenure at the UK’s Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI), where she was instrumental in implementing Drinking Water Safety Plans (DWSPs) as the foundation for adoption into the water industry and advancing risk-based regulatory approaches.

More recently, Sam returned to the water industry, where she lead teams responsible for water quality assurance and legislative compliance.
