Dr Prasenjeet Ghosh is the Global Head of Hydrogen and Ammonia Business within ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solutions (LCS) business. In this role, he leads investments in low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia technologies and is building the next generation of low-carbon, low-cost molecules – including the ExxonMobil-BASF joint development on methane pyrolysis, a promising and emerging pathway for clean hydrogen.

Over more than two decades at ExxonMobil, Prasenjeet has worked at the intersection of deep technology and commercial strategy. His early career focused on scaling advanced process technologies across the refining and chemicals sectors, leading the discovery and development of new catalysts and materials, and driving innovation in low-emission fuels.

He has since served in several senior leadership roles as Head of Strategy and Planning, Global Business Manager across multiple chemical businesses and Head of Research, where he and his team developed new technologies spanning new materials, advances in carbon capture and storage (CCS), direct air capture, waste plastics recycling, advanced biofuels, and most recently, hydrogen.

A recognised thought leader, Prasenjeet has authored more than 30 technical papers, holds approximately 20 US patents, serves on university advisory boards, is active in the Hydrogen Council and has received multiple professional awards.

He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, USA, and an MBA from The Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
