Overview

Join us for a specialised webinar on the role of intellectual property (IP) in protecting software and computer‑implemented inventions, tailored for chemical engineers. As digital tools become integral to chemical engineering, understanding how to safeguard these innovations is increasingly vital.

This session will outline key IP tools, with a focus on patent protection for software‑driven technologies, including process simulations, data analysis tools and automation systems.

We will also discuss challenges specific to computer‑implemented inventions and highlight complementary IP such as copyright for code and registered designs for product and GUI aesthetics. Ideal for anyone developing optimisation, automation or simulation technologies.
