Workplace leadership development group sponsors APCChE 2015

The Centre for Workplace Leadership, whose mission is to produce knowledge that works in ‘real’-world’ situations, has secured gold sponsorship for the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering (APCChE) Congress. APCChE 2015 will take place on 27 September - 1 October in Melbourne, Australia.
Congress chair and former IChemE vice president (qualifications) David Shallcross, said he is delighted that The Centre for Workplace Leadership is supporting the congress: “In just two years since it was established, the Centre has developed an excellent reputation in the telecommunications, banking and retail sectors.”
“It’s terrific that they see the congress as a way to build the Centre’s profile in the process industries. The Centre will also be running a workshop on Workplace Leadership at the event - something that must surely be a first for a chemical engineering congress!”
The Centre’s project officer, Caroline O’Farrell said that they are proud to support the congress and appreciate that chemical engineering is important for Australian jobs, innovation and productivity.

The event has attracted a line-up of international and local experts to speak at the event. This includes Paul Stevens from Chatham House London, Donguyan Zhoa from Fudan University, Shanghai and Monash University, Guohua Chen from Hong Kong University and Eli Keshavarz-Moore from University College London.
APCChE 2015 is the bi-annual conference for the Asian Pacific community of chemical and process engineers and industrial chemists. The congress will provide the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the field, recognise outstanding achievement and share lessons learned. For the first time, the 2015 congress will be incorporating the Chemeca conference and the International Conference on Coal Science &Technology (ICCS&T). Each conference will run its own scientific programme with some combined plenary sessions and a combined exhibition space.
