IChemE Global Awards 2015 shortlists announced

The shortlists for the IChemE Global Awards 2015 have been announced with over 100 entries making the final stages of the awards on 5 November 2015.
The IChemE Global Awards, in association with Aramco, celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement in the chemical, process and biochemical industries.
Successful organisations shortlisted include Air Products, Atkins, BP, Costain, Dow Chemical Company, Johnson Matthey, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, GSK, Saudi Arabian Oil Company, McGill University, University of Liverpool, United Utilities, University of Bath, Pfizer, Seoul National University, PETRONAS and Sellafield Ltd.
The winners of the global awards will be announced on 5 November 2015 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, UK. The ceremony in Birmingham is just one of several international events organised by IChemE to celebrate the achievements of the chemical engineering profession. Other events include the IChemE Singapore Awards (22 October 2015) and the IChemE Malaysia Awards (26 October 2015).
A record-breaking number of applicants, from over 40 countries1, entered the global awards, which will be hosted by Steph McGovern – BBC business and finance journalist, and award winning engineer.
Steph will announce the winners from 16 awards categories including the overall Award for Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering, which will be selected from nearly 500 entries received worldwide.
IChemE deputy chief executive, Justin Blades, said: 'We have received a record-breaking number of entries this year and all the judges would like to thank the individuals and organisations that have taken the time to support the awards once again and submit their impressive applications.
“There can be no better feeling than to receive an award from your peers and we believe this is what makes the IChemE Global Awards so special and sought after across the world.
