IChemE Malaysia Awards 2015 shortlists announced

The shortlists for the IChemE Malaysia Awards 2015 have been announced with 40 entries making the final stages of the awards on 26 October 2015.

The IChemE Malaysia Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement in the chemical, process and biochemical industries.

Successful organisations shortlisted include Hume Concrete Products Research Centre, Malaysia LNG, Genting Plantations, Malaysian Pepper Board, Eureka Synergy, Asean Bintulu Fertilizer, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, IOI Olechemical Industry, Ronser Bio-Tech, East One-Zero-One, Sime Darby Plantation and PETRONAS.

The winners of the Malaysia awards will be announced on 26 October 2015 at the Le Meridien Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony in Malaysia is just one of several international events organised by IChemE to celebrate the achievements of the chemical engineering profession. Other events include the IChemE Singapore Awards (22 October 2015) and the IChemE Global Awards (5 November 2015).

The winners of the IChemE Malaysia Awards1 will be automatically shortlisted for the IChemE Global Awards, held in Birmingham, UK, including the overall Award for Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering, which will be selected from nearly 500 entries received worldwide.

IChemE deputy chief executive, Justin Blades, said: 'We have received a record-breaking number of entries in Malaysia this year and all the judges would like to thank the individuals and organisations that have taken the time to support the awards once again and submit their impressive applications.

“There can be no better feeling than to receive an award from your peers and we believe this is what makes the IChemE Awards so special and sought after across the world.

The IChemE Malaysia Awards 2015 is being supported by MMI Engineering, PETRONAS, Schaefer Kalk and KLK Oleo.
