Biography

Mark holds a degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in polymer process modelling from the University of Bradford, where his career began as a lecturer in chemical engineering. His subsequent industry career has been in process research and innovation, with BNFL, British Nuclear Group, and most recently Britest Ltd where he shaped and led a variety of collaborative innovation activities as technical director and CEO.

Mark recently joined Innovate UK as deputy challenge director - medicines manufacturing. He previously served on the East Pennine Centre committee, and also lectured on the Bradford-led Chemical Engineering for Scientists course.
