Biography 

Macsene graduated from South Bank University with BEng (Hons) in 2001; she has 20+ years' experience as a Process Engineer in the refining and petrochemical industry. Since November 2011, she has been offering her services as a self-employed Limited Company Contractor to various companies operating within the Energy sector (analysing the feasibility of existing and emerging technologies and influencing decisions on Project viability). 

As a Process Engineering Consultant, she is responsible for providing independent Process advice and technical oversight, to a group of Engineers of all disciplines, to ensure the design adheres to the appropriate safety standards, design parameters, environmental constraints, and sustainability criteria within the Project’s budget.

As a volunteer, she was Chair of IChemE Milton Keynes Member Group from 2005 to 2007. She has been elected and served two terms as an Ordinary Trustee, served two terms as a member of the Membership & Qualifications Committee, and Chaired the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Panel. Within her community, she is an elected Parish Councillor, Chair of the Youth Engagement Committee and is a member of the Parishes Advisory Group.
