Michael Cloke

Biography 

Michael is a Fellow of IChemE. He graduated in 1973 in Chemical Engineering and worked in the process industry for 8 years, mostly in process production management. After this he became a lecturer at the University of Nottingham and then his career progressed through academia.

In 2003 he moved to Malaysia to start the Chemical Engineering programme at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and then took on the role of Dean of Engineering at the Malaysia Campus. After 2010 Michael had further senior academic leadership roles in Brunei and Sarawak, Malaysia, and for one year, in 2017, served as the interim Director SE Asia for IChemE. He is now retired but still resides in Malaysia

For IChemE, Michael has a long history of a number of roles within IChemE. Currently, as well as membership of the Membership and Qualifications Committee, he is a reviewer for both Stage 1 and Stage 3 membership applications and he is a member of the Registration sub-committee and Individual Case Procedure Panel.
