Overview

There is no shortage of innovations coming out of the world’s university labs and early-stage start-ups, yet our planet still faces huge challenges. To bring innovations out of the lab and into the world requires united and proactive collaboration.

How can industry engineers help academic engineers and start-ups understand the commercial applications of their research, which may span multiple technologies or sectors, and guide them toward solutions that can be scaled globally? How can both sides make their research interests less opaque so new partnerships can form systematically and not just by chance?

This webinar was led by Kevin Leland, Founder and CEO of Halo, a partnering platform where companies, scientists and start-ups connect to address critical research and development (R&D) challenges. He discussed these questions with R&D executives from global corporations The Clorox Company, Corteva and PepsiCo, which are working to reduce their environmental footprint and create a more sustainable world.
